2) The Pink Floyd songs One of These Days, and Echoes were recorded live at the BBC Paris Theatre, London on September 30, 1971. Recorded on multitrack to be later remixed into stereo.
Recording Information:
1) The Pink Floyd songs, Embryo, and Green is the Colour & Careful with That Axe, Eugene, recorded at the BBC Paris Theatre in London on July 16, 1970, were originally recorded in mono, but were reprocessed into simulated stereo by the BBC Transcription Services.
2) The Pink Floyd songs, One of These Days and Echoes, recorded at the Paris Theatre in London on September 30, 1971 on multitrack tapes, were remixed in stereo for this release by BBC engineer Dave Mulkeen in 1983. This is a different stereo mix than found on the BBC Transcription Disc "Stereo Pop Special-3 - Pop Spectacular featuring Pink Floyd In Concert" released in 1972. Some of the differences in the new stereo mix include an echoed ping at the beginning of Echoes, elimination of the remnant of Nick Mason's vocals in the middle of One of These Days (Mason's vocals were replayed at the end of the song when technical difficulties prevented them from being heard clearly in the middle of the song), instruments panned to different channels, a narrower stereo image, and reverb added.
